Today the 45 year old Lightyears designer Hans Sandgren Jakobsen received the prestigious Finn Juhl Award. This is the seventh time the award is given away, which besides the honorable pat on the shoulder also includes a cheque of EUR 20,000,

Besides his lamp design for Lightyears Hans Sandgren Jakobsen also works together with companies as Fredericia Furniture, Trip Trap and Fritz Hansen

Since 2003 the Wilhelm Hansen Foundation has been given away the Finn Juhl Award to a person, which has made a special effort for furniture design.
